Due to the nature of the wood burning stove and Biomass industry, height access plays a major role.
With health and safety being paramount, along with the safety of our installers and general public, one of the safest and easiest ways to gain access to the top of a chimney stack is with the use of a platform lift (Cherry Picker). As we are constantly investing in our future, Sarsen Energy took the decision to purchase our own. Our Genie TZ 50 reaches many chimneys with ease.
The major benefits are safety, ease of access and of course cost to the customer.
Being based in the picturesque county of Wiltshire, a significant amount of our installations take place in thatched properties. With the use of our Cherry Picker we minimise the risk of damage to the roofs of thatched properties by reducing the requirement for ladders.
It is not just thatch properties where ourselves and our clients reap the benefits of such an important and versatile piece of machinery, the easy access protects all roof types and simplifies installations.
We really do get to those hard to reach places that would sometimes only be accessible by the erection of a scaffold.
Yes sometimes the only option for height access is scaffolding, but having our own Cherry Picker, reduces the quantity and we are able to pass on the considerable cost savings to our customers.

There is often a requirement to raise the height of chimneys on thatched properties to comply with current building regulations.
All of the building work we carry out is with our highly skilled in-house team.
This requires access to all four sides of the chimney stack which is not always possible with the use of our Cherry Picker.
We use a reputable local scaffolding company, who have never let us or the customer down, leaving the scaffold up for as short a time as possible, causes minimal disruption to the client and surrounding properties.
All insurances, permits and safety certificates are organised by us and are available to view by the client should they wish to do so.
